Monetizing Video Sharing Websites

Hi Youtube, how are you doing?

long time no see!

ever after I came back to China, my frequency of visiting Youtube dropped drastically, I am serious about that...

maybe in the English video sharing sites, I just don't know or have not been exposed to more than just the few popular ones that i know.

here in China... Youku, tudou, 56, etc... all have good content in the relatively speaking less protected video content territory... well except politics related ones... sometimes, the politicians can just open one eye and close the other one to let things go. However, when serious stuff (negative to them) happens, they became intolerant to anything that has anything to do with that matter.

there is a saying goes like this, "it is harmonious when nothing happens; if little things (in fact, not that little in term of social impact) happen, it's disastrous hurricane. "

what does all this to do with monetizing the video sharing websites? simply a reminder or warning to friends who are in that area of business.

been catching up on  prison break and heroes via Youku.com. it's really cool.  because my frequent visit to youku.com, i started to realize that maybe the Chinese can monetize video sharing sites better than the western world. there are ads everywhere now...

when the video is buffering, this is ad; when you are browsing, the screen size downsizes a littel and makes some bottom space for ads display; if you pause the video, there is also something showing up on the little screen space...

it seems all the pixeled space is become more and more valueable... actually the pixeled space is never a static one... it countes by both area as well as time, and position, of course!

good luck to Youtube... hope you can make some money for Google... a company that I defintiely support!

by the way, just signed the startup i am working in up for Google Apps - the enterprise application. Now the Chinse firm finally got its own email services with its own domain name after that @...

Simply Love it... the totally familiar interface and features I've been using every since 2004 or 2005... Long Live Google!
Go Larry and  Surgey!

Did something quite stupid

I paid my credit card twice...

technically, i only paid once myself... the other one was done automatically online via online banking... gosh!!!

now... I became tight on Cash!!! but with more credits at the bank side...
