Friends feed almost became an web 2.0 application

Gosh!
i think Friends feed should become a standalone web 2.0 application...
I think it became very popular on Facebook after it's news feed launch.
Before that, many people were very skeptical about it and made lots of noises about its improper use. It seems that everything works just fine.
In fact, people like it more than hate it... of course, if you want to hide something and don't want other people to know it you can always change the settings. After all, it's up to you to decide how it is shown to your friends or random people. As a platform, it should provide as much as capabilities for you to play around and dig more values out of it.
=)

then.. many other web 2.0 sites started having such feed features as well. however, there is a problem after all the different sites to offer different feeds. There is lack of a central station to monitor all of them at once....

anyway... i think Facebook's opening up will help consolidate some of the feeds and make the site after-all the central station for social feeds. for others, it can go to some other avenue.
