Please embrace humor in your lovely presentation... if you have not, please start doing it... it makes people laugh and prone to agree with your ideas...
if you don't think it's gonna work, I would suggest you give it a try... simply 'cause you've gotta nothing to lose if you try it.. but do try it before the actual presentation and let people, hopefully some friends who can actually feedback to you honestly, help you.
