Facebook: more and more

1. Some GUI change in Facebook
I think the search has changed. I was using it a few hours ago and it did not look like this!
I think this is so much better to change the network search in to network filter! Sweet!

2. My Uni is offering Facebook Programming language course starting next semester!
This is definitely an absolutely cool stuff to do right after Stanford started its Facebook course this quarter! Yup, NUS rocks! I do enjoy my experience there. Also many thanks to some friends who worked behind it as catalyst.

3. Facebook brand advertising and music artists.
The picture below is the band 50 cent page on Facebook. Now companies can create their brand page on Facebook for advertising and form online brand awareness and demand generation.
In a similar manner, now Facebook Music allows music artists and bands to set up their own "brand" page and their fans can join and participate. Other than, iLike the likely directly competitor of Facebook Music (nothing similar to Yahoo! Music, except that the goal for music artists to attract their fans and bring up their album sales.)

Don't just look at what they are doing here. Meebo is doing great and generated lots of buzz in the entertainment world as well. You can Google it! Don't forget to Facebook often! =)

By the way, is Digg doing music digg? Would not that be so cool to have? Just an idea... maybe there are too many players in the music industry and the market seems saturated. My view is that if the market is saturated, it is a great opportunity to make a huge impact with disruptive technology & business model. The market is revived then.
