Google and its OpenSocial

Facebook platform is great...
but other social sites are not dying... they are surviving and doing pretty well. Though serious and professional social networking users are getting on to Facebook, it seemed that it's primarily knowledge workers' world. What happened to the other people who do not fall into this knowledge worker category. They should and definitely can enjoy their social networking experiences with the rest of the hot social networking sites.

Google and its new initiative towards the OpenSocial API standard is a great move... Personally I think. Even though Facebook has become one of the site that I have to visit every single time I am online. So does Google. There are many partners working with Google this time. This seems that it's going to brilliant strategy for Google to tackle this hot spot on the Internet.

It falls closely with it's mission statement as well to organize the world information. It's right... it helps people to organize some information around their socialgraph!

Looking forward to some cool stuff coming up!
As long as I do not need to register more account, I'm going to test it out!

You might find millions of articles on this topic... I still recommend this one by TechCrunch: Google Opensocial to Launch Thursday.
