Has social networking become a feature?

Having been away from my office desk, I did not manage to listen to my favorite online music radio station - Pandora.

Now they have introduced new stuff on the site! Really cool!
One of them is the social piece - Friends. You can view your friends stations and check out their interested music and songs.

Has social networking became a feature of Web 2.0 experience?
Nowadays, every website has a blog as part of their official appearance to the public. Blogging is already part of a feature on a typical internet company.

Digg.com has upgraded to its new Digg look a couple months back. They added the social piece. It totaly made sense. Some comments on that move were wondering whether digg was moving to the social networking direction. Nope... not so much on that... it is just a convenient way to knowing what's going on there especially about what your friends are reading and digging.

Have this social piece appeared in many other sites as well?
Gmail integrated with Gtalk such that you can talk to your friends while emailing if the conversation seems to be fired. AND you can read your friends status. Maybe you might want to have a quick chat on it as well...

Definitely there are more: Flickr, Picasa, etc.
